Phantom Hands x+l Table Lamp

The x+l Table Lamp is part of a collection of objects designed by this Amsterdam based design duo from an inspiration to re-cycle small blocks of wood that are produced as residual waste in Phantom Hands' furniture production process. The wooden base of the lamp is made with these up-cycled teak blocks. Each block is shaped, curved and polished by hand prior to assembly, making it a labour and skill intensive process. The lampshade is crafted with an exterior of hand-spun raw silk and an inner lining of cotton for ideal light diffusion. This lamp is offered in the Natural Teak and Dark Stain wood finishes.
